Description
This major prepares students who plan to apply for Medical School, Dental School, Pharmacy School, Veterinary Medicine School and graduate programs in the Biological Sciences.
Mission Statement
The mission of the BS in Biological Sciences is to thoroughly train students in the basic areas of biology at the organismal, organ/system, tissue, cellular, and molecular levels. This training prepares students for careers requiring biology degrees and for successful entry and achievement in graduate and professional schools including doctoral programs in pharmacy, medical school, dental school and veterinary medical school. Students completing the BS degree in biological sciences participate in a community of learning and free inquiry; a through academic program that recognizes Jesus Christ as the creator and sustainer of all life.
