Associate of Applied Science
The Associate of Applied Science is a 75-semester hour degree program. Students may choose to take this degree in relationship to the Physical Therapist Assistant Program or the Occupational Therapist Assistant Program at Louisiana College. The Associate of Applied Science consists of 30 semester hours of General Education courses and 44 semester hours of Technical Education Courses.
Bachelor of Applied Science
Louisiana Christian University’s Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree is structured for students who have completed associate of science, associate of applied science, associate of applied technology, or a technology degree and builds on a student’s technical expertise and provides the next step to advance a student’s career goals. This program provides the pathway for students to complete the Bachelor of Applied Science degree by allowing students to transfer up to 60 hours of earned credits, 45 of which may be technical and/or approved military credits. The program requires additional studies in general education courses and other academic courses. LCU’s online options provide the flexibility to meet the needs of working adults and transfer students from a variety of technical backgrounds.
Bachelor of General Studies
The general studies degree offers an alternative to the traditional bachelor of science or bachelor of arts programs. The Bachelor of General Studies degree is a 124-semester hour degree program. The degree consists of the 53 semester hours of the Central Curriculum, 36 semester hours of a chosen concentration, 18 hours of a chosen minor, and 16-17 elective hours.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing
This program requires 56-57 hours of general education courses with 71 hours of degree-specific courses for a total of at least 127 semester credit hours. However, the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing only requires 62 hours because students admitted into this program are required to already hold a baccalaureate degree. In cases in which students do not have the general education courses that will satisfy LC requirements, student are required to take the general education courses. Students are informed prior to beginning the program whether or not they need the Central Curriculum courses.
Bachelor of Music
The Bachelor of Music program is a four to five year degree designed to prepare students in Worship Leadership, vocal and instrumental performance, and for teaching music in a school setting. The degree contains the following majors:
Bachelor of Social Work
The Bachelor of Social Work Program is a 124 semester hour degree designed to prepare students for entrance into a Master of Social Work program. The Bachelor of Social Work degree consists of 53 semester hours of Central Curriculum, 48 semester hours of degree specific courses, and 23 semester hours of electives. Students may choose minor from the B.A. or B.S. program.
