Jonathan E. Martin Master of Business Administration

The Jonathan E. Martin Master of Business Administration degree offers a broad perspective on business, rooted in the biblical worldview, and is designed to develop and enhance business skills and knowledge valuable to managers, exectives, and administrators. The program includes distinctive courses designed to equip graduates to integrate faith in their workplaces. Ethics will be a program-wide emphasis with every core course including Leadership Characteristics modules that reinforce values to help develop lifelong ethical decision-making.

The MBA curriculum is a 34-hour graduate program (37-hours if prerequisites are not fully met prior to enrollment). The program is fully online and can be completed in as little as one year. Students may choose to attend full-time or part-time.

Admission requirements specific to the MBA program

1. Students must have completed an undergraduate degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution.

2. The admission equation for admission to the MBA program is: Peregrine Assesment Score + 20(GPA) = 100

  • All applicants will be required to take an Inbound Peregrine Assessment.
  • Students must have a minimum 2.5 undergraduate GPA (overall, in major, or last 60 hours)
    • For illustration: A student with a 2.5 undergraduate GPA would have to score 50 or higher on the Peregrine Assessment to be admitted.
    • A student with a 3.5 undergraduate GPA would have to score 30 or higher.

3. Students must have completed an undergraduate course (with a grade of C or higher), or the equivalent, in each of the following areas:

  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Finance
  • Statistics
  • Excel Proficiency

4. Students who do not have the required prerequisites, may satisfy them by taking BA 500 Foundations of Business. BA 500 may be taken prior to, or concurrently with, the first semester of the program.

5. Students may be conditionally admitted based on LCU’s policy found in the Graduate Catalog.

6. Students do not have to take the GMAT. Students do not have to interview, submit references or writing samples for admission to the MBA.

Provisional Admission Policy for undergraduate students

Louisiana Christian University students in the senior year of a bachelor’s program may be provisionally admitted to a Business graduate program and enroll in Business graduate courses. The total number of credit hours across undergraduate and graduate courses should not exceed 21 hours per semester. Continuance in the Business graduate program would depend on successfully completing the undergraduate degree and all graduate courses attempted.

Healthcare Administration, Human Resource Management, and Data Analytics are available as Certificates as part of the MBA program or as stand-alone credentials.
