Mission Statement
The mission of the BS in Applied Biology is to thoroughly train students in the basic areas of biology at the organismal, organ/system, tissue, cellular and molecular levels. This training will include the prerequisite course work for entry into graduate programs in optometry, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and physician assistant schools. Students completing the BS degree in applied biology participate in a community of learning and free inquiry; a thorough academic program that recognizes Jesus Christ as the creator and sustainer of all life.
Description
The BS in Applied Biology provides for rigorous training in Biological Sciences while targeting prerequisite coursework required for the professional schools, such as optometry, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and physician assistant schools.
