EN 105 Freshman Honors Composition An honors course for students with exceptional writing skills. Students who score 30 or above on the English section of the ACT or 690 or above on the Critical Reading and Writing portion of the SAT will be admitted conditionally to this course and must write a validation essay in the first regular class session to confirm their placement. Students scoring at 28 may be admitted to the class with permission of the instructor. EN105 substitutes for EN 102 ; however, upon successful completion of EN105 with the grade of “C” or higher, students will be given 6 hours of credit for EN 101 and EN 102 . If students do not successfully complete this course, EN105 must be repeated. 3 hrs
