BI 113 Principles of Biology: Cell Function and Plant Diversity An exploration of the cellular processes common to all life on earth. Topics include fundamentals of cell structure and metabolism; gene transmission, structure, and function; and natural selection. A survey of the Kingdoms Eubacteria, Archaebacteria, Protista, Fungi, and Plantae illustrates the vast diversity of life on earth. A discussion of plant structure and function will integrate course topics. This course is intended for students who plan to major in the natural sciences and/or who intend to complete a pre-health professions program. Lecture (113) three hours per week. 3 hrs (Fee $60)
