EN 101 Composition I

Study and practice in the essential skills of correct and effective written expression. Emphasizes critical thinking, reading, and writing. Development of proficiency in writing using a variety of rhetorical modes. Writing as a process is practiced through drafting, peer editing, and revising. Students who earn below an 18 on the English portion of the ACT exam will be required to enroll the corequisite lab section EN104 concurrently. Student must earn a “C” or above to satisfy proficiency requirements to enroll in EN 102 . Prerequisite: EN 100 grade of “C” or higher and/or English ACT score of 16 or higher. 3 hrs
