ED 725 - School Management: Finance and Personnel

This course will primarily utilize “traditional” approaches of instructional delivery. The course will present intricacies of school leadership. Constructing and managing a school budget, bid laws, donations, and foundations will be discussed. Personnel matters including tenure, evaluation, salary determination, termination procedures, contracts, and constructive hiring practices will also be explored. General leadership issues such as the role of publically elected officials in the school, school board relations, community relations etc. will be explored. 3 hrs
