NU 334 Child and Family Health

This course focuses on utilizing developmental theories and concepts to provide an integrative, family-centered approach to the care of children and adolescents. Emphasis is placed on current research and issues related to family dynamics, common pediatric disorders and promotion of healthy behaviors in clients and their families. Clinical experiences provide the student an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts and implement safe client care to children in a variety of acute care and community settings. 3 hrs
