NU 370 Medical-Surgical Nursing I This course focuses on providing an integrative, systems-based approach to the care of adult patients requiring medical and/or surgical intervention. Emphasis is placed on the assessment and coordinated care of adult patients with alterations in selected body systems. Professional nursing concepts are used to facilitate evidence-based, patient-centered, and culturally competent care to a diverse patient population. Clinical experiences provide the student an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts and implement safe patient care to adults requiring medical and/or surgical intervention in a variety of acute care and community settings. 6 hrs Fee: $200
