MG 642 - Operations Management

This course focuses on learning and implementing strategies about organizing people and other resources (inputs) to produce products and services (outputs) to satisfy customers. The level of discussion focuses on the strategic role of management in gaining competitive advantage in the market. Operations managers must apply ideas, knowledge and skills to increase and ensure superior costomer service, higher productivity, good quality, effective supply chains, innovation and flexibility, and consistent cost reduction in a fast-changing market. A special module on character-based leadership ethics is included. Prerequisites: Admission to a graduate program at Louisiana Christian University. 3 hrs
